Airports: You can
either fly to Antalya Airport or Adana Airport . Journey from
Antalya airport is prefered easier, unless you are visiting other
locations around Mersin. Some come through Mersin after visiting
Capadocia/Nevsehir; instead you might want to come through Konya and
Antalya instead. Because most find the journey from Antalya/Alanya
and Anamur better than Mersin Anamur.
There is also Gazipasa Airport, but since this airport only opened
last year (2011), the flights here are limited. This airport is
closest to Anamur by half. It will have more flights available by
2012 summer.
Airport transfers: Please search for private ones before
transfers from airport, as private ones such as a2btransfers are
better priced (and same service!). There are no transfers directly
to Anamur.
From Airports:
By Car: If you are hiring a car to be picked up from the
airport::
From Antalya: Travelling towards east, take the directions, in
order, towards, Manavgat, Alanya, Gazipasa, Anamur. Just follow the
coast line heading east. You'll first arrive to Oren (where the
ghost city is), before you get to Anamur.
From Adana : Head towards west for Tarsus, then Mersin and
Erdemli. Follow the coast line heading west. You ll first see the
Castle as you enter Anamur.

Useful Information about travelling to Anamur
Coaches in Turkey are very comfortable, with air-con, wide
seats, TV, drink/snack service, and plenty of stops for
brakes. The coaches (not the tour operator ones!), are safe
way to travel between Antalya airport and Anamur. From Antalya
Airport, you can either go to the coach office by taxi: It is
a small, friendly and helpful office in Aksu (Otobüs firmasi,
Aksu ), and only a few miles away.
Or get a transfer to Alanya, where there is a coach station (Otogar
in Turkish).
Note: Antalya coach station is 40-50 min west of the airport.
If you go there you would be travelling opposite direction.
So, it is either Aksu, or Alanya.
